This method of RCA is similar to the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) in that it looks at
undesirable results in a branched method, but it does so with the addition of
logic statements (‘Ands’ and ‘Ors’). This allows for further analysis and
additional branching for greater resolution. It works very well in systems in
which the faulty events can be linked to all major contributing factors and also
allows for the use of And / Or statements to identify their relationships or lack
thereof.
