The Postcard

They sent the postcard
to a dead soldier.
To a dead soldier
they sent the postcard.
The postcard was a draft notice
when war is a must,
when war is a must
all able-bodies ready for the draft...
The poor mother ceased her weeping
for her child who has been killed,
a dear son who’s dead and gone.
The poor mother ceased her weeping.
