ASTRONOMY has revealed almost infinite
depths to thestellar universe, stars and sys-
tems extending through space without end.
Theuniverseisvast. Itsinfinitudereflectstheinfinity
ofitsMaker. GodrulesHisuniverse;overandover
again wehave seen examples of the might of His
sway. FromHishighthrone,inthemidstofHisuni-
verse,byinvisibleraysofpowerandinfluence.Heis
perfectlyincontrolofitall.
SomeseemtothinkthatifGodbeconsidered asa
personalbeing,seatedsomewhereuponathrone,such
vestiture of personality and definite location divests
Himofuniversalpresence andpower. But there is
noneedthatitdoanythingofthekind.
Neitherisitlogicalandreasonabletotakethepan-
theisticideathatGodcanbeuniversallypresentonly
ifHebeadivineSpiritoressencemerely,pervading
allthings. Suchaview,nomatterwhatitsexponents
maysayinwords,immersesGodinHiscreation. It
drownsHim,sotospeak,inHisownworks.
