ButtosaythatGodisnotaperson,assomemodern
religionistsdo,inharmonywiththeteachingsofpan-
theismforagesgone,istosaythatwehavesomething
infinitelygreaterthanGodhas. Andthereasonthat
thepositionistakenisreallybecausethehumanheart
is pleasedtothinkthatthere is nopersonal Godto
whomitisresponsible. Assuchviewthesubject,each
isapartofGod,forallisGod. Andwhereversuch
aviewhasundisturbed course,itleadstothelowest
depthsofmoraldebasementandcorruption; forany-
thingthatonedoes(thustheyfinallycometoconsider
it) cannotbe wrong, becauseall are parts of God.
