Wehave foundthat thosescientists who say that
theBibleandsciencehavenothingtodowithonean-
otherareradicallywrong. Weknowthatcertainso-
called scientific teachingsare constantly cominginto
clashwiththestatementsoftheWord. Thisofitself
mustshowthattheBibledoes say somethingon the
question; otherwise there would be no controversy.
Yet,whileitisperhapsrecognizedoracknowledged
that thereis somesort ofrelation between thetwo,
thereisseentobealsosomxsortofdistinctionordivi-
sionbetweenthem.
Now,theBible,weknow, doesnot answerallthe
questionswemightaskconcerningnature. TheBible
doesnotrecordthedistancefromheretothesun. It
doesnotrecordthenumberofpetalsinasweetbrier
rose,nordoesitdescribethenotesofalark.
IfthesethingsarenotfoundintheBible,whereare
wetofindthem?—Innature,ofcourse. Itisnature's
workto show forth facts. Natureis,indeed, buta
cosmosof factsor realities. And facts canbestbe
learnedbyobservation,byacquaintanceshipwiththem.
Howcouldwordspresenttoyouthesongofthelark?
Howcould descriptions reveal the tender, ravishing
coloroftherose?
