1½ teaspoons coarse sea salt


2 cups (474 mL) water


2 cups (396 g) cooked whole beans or
lentils


1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro, for
garnish



  1. In a deep, heavy saucepan, heat the
    Gila Masala over medium-high heat
    until it starts to bubble.

  2. Add the vegetables, chiles, garam
    masala, coriander, cumin, red chile
    powder, salt, and water. Cook until the
    vegetables soften, 15 to 20 minutes.

  3. Add the beans or lentils. Cook until
    warmed through.
