JEERA): I love getting double duty from
my spices. Dry roast your cumin and
grind it in a coffee grinder reserved for
spices. (Yes, you can purchase roasted
cumin, but if you roast and grind it
yourself, you’ll taste a world of
difference.) Use it in your soy yogurt
raitas and even in soups and stews.
- CURRY LEAVES (KARI PATTA):
Curry leaves have nothing to do with
curry powder. The leaves are
synonymous with South Indian cuisine
