lEAdERShIP UNdER UNcERTAINTY“Leaders are always people who see beyond the moment, they are
likely to excel in the midst of serious problems, creating a vision and
motivating people to achieve it,” as my father wrote me recently. This
vision of leadership will make us understand the characteristics of a
leader, but looking at them from the perspective of one who lives in
a constant state of uncertainty. Many men and women in history have
done just that: see beyond the moment, dream for excellence and search
for the impossible to make their greatest achievements; and the leaders
of today, particularly those who live in an uncertain world, will always
do the impossible while looking for excellence.
