fering without gaining any profit.
Themaliciousare advisedoflooking uponthe courses ofthe great
men of history whom were described of good behavior and virtuous
moralities.ImamAli(a)says,“Ifyouovercomeyourenemy,youshould
consider pardoning him as the gratitude for the overcoming.”
PeoplewentonsupplicatingtoGodagainsttheunknownlarcenerthat
thievedsomedirhamsofAbdullahbinMasud,thegrandcompanionof
theProphet(s).Abdullahanswered,“OAllah!Ifitwasanexigentneed
thatdrovethatmantothievethosedirhams,thenIimploretheetobless
him.Ifhethievedduetointendingtocommitasin,thenIimplorethee
to make it the last of his sins.”
Awisemansaid,“Ifyouaretoldthatsomebodywasrevilingatyou,
youshouldanswer:He musthavebeenunawareof mydefectstotally,
lest he would not utter only these words.”
