1 Preheat the grill to medium heat. In a small bowl combine honey, orange juice, and port
wine.
2 Place bananas on the hot grill. With a basting brush, coat the bananas with the honey
mixture.
3 Grill for 5 minutes, turning the bananas every 45 seconds and basting every time you
turn. Serve warm.

T Chunky Baked Apples
When cooked, apples become sweeter and soft. Add a little butter and cinnamon and
they become dessert. If you want to make this into a meal with some protein, put these
baked apples over cottage cheese.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Yield: 6 servings (^3 ⁄ 4 cup each)
6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored,
and chopped into chunks
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
(^1) ⁄ 2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons sugar substitute
(^1) ⁄ 4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
2 Pour the apple mixture into a 9-x-13-inch baking dish and cover. Bake for 30 minutes, or
until apples are soft. Serve warm or cold.
