Giclée Prints

ThetermGiclée(pronouncedzhee-klay)hasitsoriginsin
theFrenchwordgiclermeaningtospray.Theprintersused
to produceGicléeprints arehigh-endprofessionalinkjet
printerswithagreatcapacitytoreproducefinedetailsand
colours with the use of multiple ink cartridges.


Sometimes there are as many as 10–11 ink cartridges
including 4 blackcartridges(LBLightBlack,LLBLight
LightBlack, PBPhotoBlackand MBMattBlack).The
colourcartridgesincludeorange,green,magentaandlight
magenta,cyanandlightcyan,andyellow.Withallofthese
possible coloursa very widecolourgamut and depthof
image can be achieved.
