Rationale: Identifying and valuing active listening skills are social
competencies and assets in youth development. Youth who
describe or demonstrate active listening skills are more likely
to engage in positive, constructive behaviors and avoid
negative, destructive behaviors.
Target
Audience:
In-school and out-of-school youth who^ have completed at
least primary education.
Facilitator
Expertise:
Peace Corps Volunteers and local counterparts who have
been trained in how to use and adapt the Life Skills and
Leadership Manual.
Time: 90 minutes
