positive affirmations, which are short sentences, without
negative words. For example, don't say, "George doesn't
have cancer." Instead, say, "George is completely
healed." And hold a mental picture of George happy and
healthy. If a negative thought does arise, immediately
counter it by saying, "I don't accept that!"


Never speak of a disease as a reality unless this is
counteracted by positive words, for this sets into motion
disintegrating forces within the body, mind, and spirit.
Instead of claiming a disease, speak of it as the disease,
not my cold, or George's cancer.


Negative thoughts, words, and attitudes have become
so much a part of human life that they arise without our
being aware of them. However, the subconscious mind
recognizes these and acts upon them. The subconscious
reaction to negatives appears first in the aura, then in
the body in the form of diseases. If you say something
negative about an illness or disease, or someone says
something negative to you, immediately and mentally
say, "No, I don't accept that." Then replace it with "I (or
the patient's name) am getting well."


The ancient Egyptians and the Brahmins of India
knew the power of negative words and thoughts. They
deliberately used certain healing words to set up
vibratory actions that could help heal broken bones and
depleted internal organs. They used prolonged sessions
of healing chants to stimulate the glands and nerve
centers. The healers of India believed that spoken or
sung words were 80 percent more powerful than the
same words spoken only in the mind. Hindu scriptures
say that words are all-powerful. The ancient Babylonians
taught that every word is a command or a promise that
must come true. The Greeks believed that words
contained power and cosmic energy to build up or tear
