time-consuming, when properly performed, the results yield good evidence,
bringing with it a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that the forensic
dentist has made a significant contribution to the case. Developing the skills
necessary to competently document these injuries with visible and nonvis-
ible light is one of the great challenges in forensic dentistry.
