Porcelain Vase
Fashioned as a bivalve seed pod, the front faux
painted with a bust of exotic black haired beauty
wearing a raised gilt and metallic painted butterfly
wing headdress and a beaded rosary necklace with a
cross, over a spider web bodice with opaline jew-
eled cabochon reserved on a blue-green glazed
ground, the reverse with cobalt blue glazed ground,
the base with a red crown shield, inscribed “Amphora”,
“Made in Austria”, enamel painted in green 582.

The scantily dressed figure of a young belly dancer

holding up the two sides of her skirt, lifting the front

section of her skirt revealing her nude body under-

neath, revolving on a drum form base with a red

bordered embroidered panel, inscribed “B” inside a

horseshoe on skirt and on the base rear “Nam Greb

Amphora”.

Fashioned as a miniature grand piano housing a music box, the inset panels of
courting couples in a park land setting, enamel painted in a pastel palette, the
top opens to reveal painted piano keys and a conforming courting scene, the
whole inset within a gilt case with leaf and vine banding cast in the rococo taste,
stamped “Made in Austria”, en suite with a bench with a conforming enamel painted
scene of a young lady proffering a rose.
