You may find moving a child to the living food way of life is
not simple, due to peer pressure. This is why support groups have
been set up. You, and your child can meet and socialise with
others who share similar lines of thought (see appendix for
resource list). FRESH supply books on helping children move to a
healthier diet.
Babies should not be fed cooked foods until their digestive
organs are developed to digest starch. This is not until the teeth
are fully developed. Starch cannot be digested until the child
produces the enzyme ptyalin which happens around the age of
eighteen months. Before this time, foods like cereal will cause
early stress for the new digestive tract.
Nor are highly overcooked baby foods of much use until
later, and then only organic, additive-free and well-combined
foods.

When a baby is born it is said to inherit much, but not all, of the
mother's positive as well as negative attributes. Dr Bieler states
that in his experience excess protein intake during infancy and
childhood can result in leukaemia, cancer, rheumatism, polio and
skin diseases. Heavy starch, dairy products and sugar are said to
promote serious respiratory disorders. Excess fatty foods express
themselves as boils and acne.
From before conception a mother must be aware of how
her diet now, consisting of food and energy created in the mind,
affects the next generation. Also during breast feeding and
beyond, a parent must be aware of how their actions that include
