Any symptoms of illness or disease indicate that there is
an imbalance, that the inner self is not in harmony. So it is
incorrect to treat symptoms for what they are, as modern medicine
tells us. I believe that any 'symptom', 'illness' or disease can be
cured by allowing the body to rest and by emptying the mind to
see what the true problem is.

The first step is to become aware, aware of our ego, the T
who is part of our true selves. Become aware of every little detail.
No matter how tedious a task may seem, try to live that moment.
Learn to listen with all your senses. Before we get too lost in
words, here are some steps to begin, and to end.

A Buddhist once asked a master, after practicing these
meditations genuinely for years, 'What is the next step master?'
The master replied This is the first and last step. Actions speak
louder than any form of thought. Before we continue I would like to
make one further observation - about the exaggerated importance
sometimes given to a particular method of practice, be it yoga,
meditation, whatever. If we find only one method of practice
suitable for us then this, when followed through to its conclusion,
will lead us to our enlightenment. All other methods are dismissed
as variations of the true path; only our own individual method is
the right one. The truth is that there are many methods of yoga,
many methods and forms of meditation, all of which have been
proven to work over centuries. It is fine to prefer and choose one
method over another, but it is foolish to dismiss all other
techniques as inferior to your chosen one.
