The first rule is that there are no rules. Do as you please, but be
aware of the consequences both directly and indirectly. This book
supplies some information to understand the consequences of
living certain lifestyles and the options available to us all. Beware
that some choices may multiply your energy, heal you and make
you feel so good.

Possibly the most important dietary rule I can advise to
most of western society is to eat less. Do not continue to eat until
you feel completely full, but leave the table feeling you could have
eaten a little more. Do not eat or drink anything in excess, no
matter how healthy it seems. If you are not comfortable from the
last meal, simply miss the next.

Never hurry meals. Sit down to eat. Never eat in a rush,
when stressed, worried, tired, excited, anxious, emotionally upset,
overheated or too cold. Avoid watching television, reading or even
talking while eating, concentrate on the food you are eating. Be
thankful for what you have. Rest for a while after eating, for at
least a full five minutes.

Masticate thoroughly. Avoid mushy foods that cannot be
masticated. Eat slowly, chew thoroughly and again, eat with
awareness.

Recognise the difference between true hunger and false
appetite of the mind, before you eat. Do not eat just because it is
time to. Sip hot water throughout the day, especially when you
think you feel hungry, where true hunger does not exist.
