Options


There are many possible options when baking bread. I have
recommended some particularly worthy combinations with some
of the recipes. Try some unusual foods in your bread. This means
some interesting savoury vegetable breads. Use the basic
wholemeal recipe for your first attempts.


Different ratios of unusual flours make subtly different
breads. Enquire at your local whole-food store or wholesaler (see
resource list) for a wide variety. Hemp flour, as it is rather heavy
and oily, is not recommended to comprise more than 40% of the
total recipe. One of my favourite examples is the basic wholemeal
recipe as below.


Bread made from 300g wholemeal/ 400g Spelt flour/ 300g
hemp flour and mixed with olives, garlic and onion is also
stimulating meal on its own.
