Portuguese government towards exploring the natural resources
in its colonies, creating several agricultural and industrial projects.
Coffee and cotton production became main export products in the
Angolan colony during this period, but also the loci of the first anti-
colonial rebellions, considering the enslaved conditions in which the
autochthon labour worked.
