Joseph Smith Biography

Mormon. It was at one time, but the manuscript that contained it was lost by one of Joseph’s
scribes. (This will be expounded upon later.)
Isaiah’s words are profound and give the best description of the overall message
hidden in the Book of Mormon behind the biblical rhetoric and allegory used to give the bible-
believing world a chance at the “good.” Isaiah writes:

To what purpose [is] the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD:
I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight
not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to
appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new
moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; [it is]
iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear [them]. And
when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when
ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you,
make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease
to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the
fatherless, plead for the widow.^134

The Fullness of the Everlasting Gospel

The fundamental message of the Book of Mormon—having both the “good” and the
“evil” presented in a wise and purposeful way—is a call for the human race to forget
everything about religion and their vain and foolish imaginations and to concentrate on
providing for the needs of the human race. We should focus on ending poverty and
inequality among the inhabitants of the world: “to do good—to clothe the naked, and to
feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive and administer relief to the sick and the
afflicted.”^135 This is the true “hope of Christ” that the Book of Mormon presents to the world.
This alone encapsulates the “fullness of the everlasting Gospel.”^136 It is the only thing that
our advanced creators want us to have the opportunity to learn how to do without their
help—until they are forced to intercede to save us all. They want us to be true to our
humanity—the core foundation that was instilled in us when we were first created and
living among them.
In modern times, the essences (spirits) of our eternal siblings who could never
imagine themselves as ones who would choose “evil” over “good” are placed purposefully
and wisely in the families created by the free will of our human nature. While not all
American-LDS are of this group, all those of this group of rebellious siblings are placed in
American-LDS families. The title page of the Book of Mormon clearly states that it was “to come
forth in due time by way of the Gentile,” which, ultimately, were American-LDS members.
They are, indeed, “Saturday’s Warriors,”^137 as they think of themselves as warriors of the
latter days. But the war that they fight is not what they think! They fight against freedom for
all, against others outside of their protected borders or lifestyles, and support (in the spirit of
“patriotism”) America’s wars and aggressions against other nations and people. Yet, our
true humanity would never allow us to become involved with war in any way.^138 Being true
to our creators, we would love our enemies and do good to them that persecute us;
therefore we cannot be “warriors” for any cause.
