Without Disclosing My True Identity
The LDS people proclaim to the world that the Book of Mormon contains the
“fullness of the Gospel” of Jesus Christ. Yet, nowhere in the Book of Mormon does it
condemn the homosexual for loving and marrying his or her partner;^139 the Bible does, but
not the Book of Mormon. Having accepted the Book of Mormon as the word of God, the LDS
people have been given the choice of whether to cause persecution, strife, and malice on
others, or not. As a matter of observation, with the gospel before them, how have they
chosen to exercise their free will?^140
Nowhere in the Book of Mormon does it talk about “eternal families,”^141 nor of any
lasting importance associated with the family unit or of its existence beyond the grave.
Joseph Smith said nothing of these isolating mortal filial units. Yet, nothing means more to
the LDS people than their families, in spite of the “fatherless and the widow”^142 that mourn
constantly because they do not have a family.
The LDS/Mormons have the choice. They can either concentrate their efforts on
eliminating the struggle of the “fatherless and the widow,” or they can purchase their fine
house, their fine clothing, and attend their fine temple, wherein they can receive a temple
ordinance (an endowment) that is not found anywhere in the Book of Mormon—the book that
supposedly contains the fullness of the LDS Gospel! But, again, how instead have they used
their free will?
Likening the Scriptures Unto Themselves
The LDS people believe that the Book of Mormon, which condemns them, is
speaking to another people...not to them! “How could it be?” they insist.^143 “We belong
to the ‘only true church’ of God upon the earth!” In claiming these things, they are,
indeed, following the “plan of the Father,”^144 for it is God who planted the “tree of
knowledge of good and evil”; and it is God who is responsible for allowing the choice
between “evil” and “good.”^145 The LDS/Mormons are following the plan of the Father
alright, but just not in the way that they think.
LDS scripture warns them profoundly about judging that which is “good” as being
“evil” and that which is “evil” as being “good”:
Book of Mormon, Moroni, chapter 7:[ 11 ] For behold, a bitter fountain cannot bring forth good water; neither can a good
fountain bring forth bitter water; wherefore, a man being a servant of the devil
cannot follow Christ; and if he follow Christ he cannot be a servant of the devil.
[ 12 ] Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil
cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him
continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil
continually.
[ 13 ] But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good
continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good,
and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.
[ 14 ] Wherefore, take heed, my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge that
which is evil to be of God, or that which is good and of God to be of the devil.
