Without Disclosing My True Identity
those who are unequally disadvantaged as a result of the perception and desires of the Gentiles
because of the color of their skin.
2 And behold, this is the thing which I will give unto you for a sign—for verily I say unto you that
when these things which I declare unto you, and which I shall declare unto you hereafter of myself,
and by the power of the Holy Ghost which shall be given unto you of the Father, shall be made known
unto the Gentiles that they may know concerning this people who are a remnant of the house of Jacob,
and concerning this my people who shall be scattered by them;
The Gentiles are those Americans who scattered the “remnant of the house of Jacob”
as described below. The Book of Mormon is what was “made known unto the Gentiles that
they many know concerning this people who are a remnant of the house of Jacob.” The book
contains the “things which [Christ] declare[d] unto [the ancient inhabitants of this
continent].” Again, Christ refers to the Native Americans as “my people” “you” and “your,”
and the Gentiles as “they” or “them” in the next 3 verses.
3 Verily, verily, I say unto you, when these things shall be made known unto them of the Father, and
shall come forth of the Father, from them unto you;
4 For it is wisdom in the Father that they should be established in this land, and be set up as a
free people by the power of the Father, that these things might come forth from them unto a
remnant of your seed, that the covenant of the Father may be fulfilled which he hath covenanted
with his people, O house of Israel;
This was the part of the prophecy that Joseph hoped to fulfill when he chose
Missouri as the place where he would set up a mission specifically and exclusively aimed at
the Native American people in fulfillment of this prophecy. The ONLY reason why he chose
Missouri was because it was the furthest point west that one could go and still be in the
“mighty nation of the Gentiles.” Because the Natives had been pushed and scattered to the
West, Joseph chose Jackson County, Missouri (the furthest place along the common trade
routes at the time) as the place from which the Book of Mormon (“these things”) “shall come
forth of the Father, from [the Gentiles] unto [the remnant of the house of Jacob].”
5 Therefore, when these works and the works which shall be wrought among you hereafter shall come
forth from the Gentiles, unto your seed which shall dwindle in unbelief because of iniquity;
The “Gentiles” who brought forth the Book of Mormon—which is a record of the
“works” of the Native Americans’ ancestors—were, and should be, the missionaries of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Christ next explains, clearly, WHY he wanted
the Book of Mormon to come forth by way of the Gentiles, or more specifically, the Gentile
Church that was an outgrowth of those who professed belief in the Bible and the Book of
Mormon—the LDS Church:
6 For thus it behooveth the Father that it should come forth from the Gentiles, that he may show forth
his power unto the Gentiles, for this cause that the Gentiles, if they will not harden their hearts, that
they may repent and come unto me and be baptized in my name and know of the true points of my
doctrine, that they may be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;
