A HALF-BAKED DESSERT IDEA


(Number of Powerfoods: 3)


2 LARGE GOLDEN DELICIOUS APPLES
1 TABLESPOON LEMON JUICE
2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
4 SCOOPS VANILLA FROZEN YOGURT
½ CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS
¼ CUP DRIED CRANBERRIES (OPTIONAL)

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Core the apples and cut into ½-inch slices. Place in a bowl and toss


with the lemon juice. Add the sugar and toss again.


2. Dump into a baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes or until tender and golden brown. (Stir occasionally


to avoid burning.)


3. Transfer to plates, top with frozen yogurt, and sprinkle with walnuts and cranberries (if using).


Makes 4 servings.
