2. Put the flour and Fish-Fri into 2 separate zip-top plastic bags.
3. In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg with the water.
4. Place 4 chicken fries at a time into the flour bag. Shake off the excess flour.
5. Dip them into the egg wash, shake off the excess, then shake in the Fish-Fri.
6. Place each chicken fry on a plate to reserve for frying.
7. Heat the oil in a skillet on medium-high. Fry the chicken fries in batches so they do not
touch, turning, until they are golden brown (about 4–5 minutes or until they float).
8. Drain on paper towels.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 1
½ pound ground beef
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 large hamburger bun
3 teaspoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
3–4 dill pickle slices
1 leaf of iceberg lettuce
2 slices of tomatoes
4–5 red onion rings


1. Preheat barbecue or indoor grill to medium heat.
2. Form the ground beef into a patty that is slightly larger than the bun. Generously salt and
pepper each side of the patty.
3. Grill the burger on the grill 3–4 minutes per side, or until done.
4. Brown the faces of the bun in a hot skillet over medium heat.
