For a taste of summer on the boardwalk any time of year, this A&W copycat sauce recipe can't be
beat. Serve it on your favorite hotdogs.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 25 CUPS
5 pounds hamburger
2 small onions, finely chopped
64 ounces Hunt's Tomato Paste
64 ounces Hunt's Tomato Purée
1½ cups granulated sugar
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon celery seed
3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon salt
1. Brown the hamburger and onions in a large skillet. Drain the excess oil.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 3½ hours.
3. Stir frequently so that the sauce will not stick to the pan.
Burger King Chicken Fries
These are a fairly new item on the Burger King menu. This restaurant copycat recipe is easy to
make since it uses a prepared seasoning mix.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2
1 package boneless skinless chicken breasts
½ cup flour
½ cup Zatarain's Fish-Fri
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
Vegetable oil for frying
1. Butterfly the chicken breasts. Cut them down the middle to separate the breast halves. Cut
into the shape of French fries with meat scissors or a knife.
