design, its students not only learn about astrology, but they learn how to think on their feet,
reason, solve problems, and communicate. All of the benefits of a well-rounded college educa-
tion are integrated into the Kepler program, and students learn those skills while studying
astrology. Kepler offers a Distance Learning with Symposia Program. Each academic term is 12
weeks long, 11 of which of are presented online. Students complete reading, writing, and
research assignments under the email guidance of the faculty. One week each term, students
are required to gather in Seattle, Washington, for a seven-day on-site symposium, the center-
piece of the academic program.

logical organization dedicated to education and research. The word “geocosmic” refers to cor-
respondences and cycles that relate earthly to celestial phenomena. NCGR was founded in
1971 in Massachusetts and is now a global organization with chapters and members all over
the world. Current membership consists of more than 40 chapters worldwide and includes over
3,000 members in 26 countries on six continents. Local NCGR chapters host study groups,
hold monthly lectures, and publish their own newsletters. Their SIGS (special interest groups)
cover asteroids, declinations, earth and cycles, financial astrology, fixed stars, Sabian symbols,

able in astrology today, the Noel Tyl course has enrolled over 250 students internationally.
This correspondence course is designed for students with astrology experience requiring at
least 15 to 20 chart interpretations, good astrology software capable of multiple tasks, and word
processing capability for clear homework assignments. The course consists of 19 in-depth
lessons. Each lesson will require 40 to 50 hours to complete. Tyl studies each lesson personally
and returns a tape (25 to 45 minutes) to the student with his personal guidance. Each student
proceeds at his or her personal pace, but Tyl recommends that a lesson be completed every four
