Apples are Powerful Nutritional Foods
“An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” a wise saying
known to millions. This carries truth and common sense,
because apples are one of God’s great health-giving
foods and some say “Apples keep cancer away”.
Apples are a rich source of potassium, as vital to the
soft tissues of the body as calcium is to the bones and
harder tissues. Potassium is the mineral of youthfulness;
it is the “artery softener,” keeping the body’s arteries
flexible and resilient. It’s a fighter of dangerous bacteria
and viruses. Apples have catechin a flauonol, a potent
anti-oxidant, also found in green tea and an old
fashioned folk medicine for vibrant health!
The apple has stood the test of time. It is one of the
oldest known fruits that humans consume. From the
time of the Garden of Eden the apple has played a vital
part in our destiny. People have been eating apples for
thousands of years. Apple eaters enjoy a certain
healthfulness that non-apple eaters never achieve.
