Feed Your Pets as Well as You Do Yourself!
A man at 70 really might have only lived half of his
lifetime! We support this statement with the fact that
most animals live from 5 to 7 times their rate of maturity.
Years ago we had an older pet dog that was about to go
into heat. Determined that she would bear the healthiest
litter possible, we fed her an extra super-balanced
nutritional diet, supplemented with vitamins. We kept
one of her pups and called him “Vitamin”. He was a
healthy and beautiful pup. We kept him that way
throughout his 154 years of life ( 22 dog years) by feeding
him only nutritious foods and fasting him 1 day a week.
Our buddy and friend “Vitamin” enjoyed eating
almost everything we ate: beans, brown rice, lentils,
carrots and other vegetables – these we mixed with his
healthily-prepared dog food. We also sprinkled his food
with big flakes of Brewer’s yeast (nutritious in B-complex
vitamins, boron, etc.) to enhance his health and help
keep fleas away. He liked his water “spiked” with a dash
of our Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar which
helped keep his body germ-free! ACV also helped keep
his body limber and free from the stiffness of arthritis.
Most dogs and cats enjoy small slices of raw beef heart
and chewing on large raw bones, and so did “Vitamin”. To
this day all our dogs and cats live a healthy life, free of disease
and health problems. Yes, our “Vitamin” did live to be 154
years of age, since relative to human years, a dog or cat’s years
are equivalent to 7 years of human life. He lived 22 years, and
was still an active dog until he was hit by a car.
Here’s “Angel,” my faithful friend for 20 years. Every day she
walks to our Bragg office with Lesley, my assistant, where she
spends the day supervising our staff. We keep her in good
health on the same program “Vitamin” followed. Daily
she’s brushed, massaged and exercised. She loves fast
walking and running, and has never been sick,
fat or mean. Her teeth are perfect and her breath
is sweet. She fasts one day a week and this
helps keep her youthful. She prances, runs
and wags her tail when excited, like a puppy.
