Mealor would love to
see an edgier Kyle...
but not too edgy!

says that he wouldn’t want
his THE YOUNG & THE
RESTLESS alter ego to
ever actually kill anybody,
he has made no secret of
wishing that Kyle would
cross lines and maybe be-
come edgier. In fact, he
would love to follow in the
footsteps of Jason Thomp-
son’s Billy. “Jason’s
stor yline was gambling,”
Mealor points out. “It wasn’t
a drug-riddled, dark, kill-
ing-kind of Billy, but it was
an edgy Billy, where all bets
are off and he’s like, ‘I don’t
care what happens with
anything!’ Jason played it
beautifully.” Mealor adds
that he loved the complexi-
ty that Thompson brought
to the character. “Billy was
telling himself that he didn’t
care, but he did. And he
was tr ying to hold his life
together, but he couldn’t.
I’d love it if Kyle went down
that route. Either that, or he
got bitten by a spider and
gets radioactive superpow-
ers,” he says with a laugh.
“That would be great, too!”
