In Memoriam
Daytime veteran Robert Milli passed away on July 18 in
New Jersey following a battle with cancer. The actor’s
many soap roles included being a part of the original cast
of CBS’ LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING and a nine-
year run as GUIDING LIGHT’s Adam Thorpe, the stand-up
father of Springfi eld villain Roger. Originally playing the
part from 1972-’81, he briefly reprised the role several
times, the last being in 1994. In addition to his work in
soaps, the 86-year-old actor was a veteran of the US Navy
and Broadway, and was the voice behind radio and tele-
vision campaigns for Porsche, Revlon and many others.
Milli was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane, and is sur-
vived by children Brian and Liza, and four grandsons.
That same day, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ David
Hedison — who played Arthur Hendricks, the judge
with whom Katherine had a long-ago aff air that re-
sulted in the birth of Tucker McCall — died in Los An-
geles at the age of 92. In addition to his Y&R role, the
actor played ANOTHER WORLD’s Spencer Harrison
and DYNASTY’s Sam Daxton. Hedison is survived by
two daughters, Alexandra and Serena.

Even Annika No-
elle (Hope) ad-
mits she’s excited
to find out what will be
coming up next in this
stor yline. “I’m curious to
see how they have Hope
deal with all this,” she
says. “Once her grief is
over and the sadness is
gone, what’s left?”
