Having overheard Thomas threaten
Flo at his wedding to Hope, Liam began
to hunt for answers like a dog refusing
to relinquish a bone. His search led
him to study Phoebe’s adoption papers
and dig deeper into the circumstances
that led to Steffy becoming her mother.
Clued-in a bit more by his brother, Wy-
att, Liam phoned the Vegas hospital
where Flo claimed to have given birth to
Phoebe. After a tip from a most unlikely
source, Liam realized that his own
daughter, Beth, was wrapped up in this
myster y. Once he had fi nally put all the
pieces together, he raced to Phoebe’s
nurser y to embrace the daughter he
now knew to be his own!
STEFFY’S IN DENIAL
Steffy found Liam rooting through
Phoebe’s adoption papers
and was bewildered when
he gave her the third de-
gree about her youngest
daughter’s origins. Steffy
explained that her mother
was responsible for con-
necting her with Flo, and
when he later informed her
of who he thought Phoebe
really was, she refused to
believe it. In her mind, his theor y was
outlandish and unspeakable. Alarmed
and upset, she phoned Ridge to tell him
about Liam’s assertion — that Phoebe
was Beth — and she later tipped off
Thomas, who realized that Liam must
be onto him.
FLO CONFESSES
Despite Thomas’ threat to kill her if she
ever spilled the secret about Beth, Flo
told Shauna that she could
no longer keep the terrible
truth from Hope. After
hearing more about Thom-
as’ troubled past, Flo real-
ized he could be a danger to
her cousin and knew that
coming for ward might be
the only thing that could
save her. Alone with Wyatt,
Flo became tearful, know-
