MG14 NATIONAL TITLES
The 2014/2015 MG14 National Titles
were held at Gosford Sailing Club on
the beautiful Brisbane Waters in early
January 2015. The fleet of 23 boats
from 11 different clubs enjoyed a range
of conditions with some close and
interesting racing. Rohan Nosworthy and
Janine Turton won eight out of nine heats
over the five day series with their worst
result being a fourth place to take out the
title with two heats to spare.
470 NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2015 470 Nationals conducted
five days of racing with a jam
packed schedule of 12 races, from
Southport Yacht Club’s Hollywell
Sailing Squadron. Mathew Belcher
and Will Ryan took out the
championship again with Kazuto
Doi and Kimihiko Imamura from
Japan second.

PRINCE PHILIP REGATTA
Gordon Ingate won his second Prince Philip Regatta (the
Australasian championship for the dragon class) in 58
years of sailing dragons. The first two races of the series
were won by Sydney boat Shapes skippered by Wolf Breit
with a crew which included Roger Hickman. There was
mixed contitions with racing on day three abandoned due
to stormy conditions over Melbourne The final day's racing
started in pouring rain and light wind.
