An exclusive first peek inside Burger’s Hull 510,

in anticipation of her delivery this summer, reveals

a striking modern interior. The 103ft 6in full

displacement explorer yacht is a full custom

design for a private American owner who loves

fishing, which explains the cockpit.

Designer Luiz de Basto, working closely with

the owner, created an oceangoing explorer capable

of reaching the most remote sportfishing

hotspots. Cruising range is thought to be around

4,000 nautical miles at 9.5 knots for this yacht

in steel and aluminum, powered by twin

Caterpillar C18 engines

and built to ABS class.

When Heesen’s 163 foot in-build

Project Nova was sold last July, the

owner brought in a new interior

designer, Cristiano Gatto, and asked

the Italian to create a clean, modern

interior for a relaxed life on the water.

It was important, though, not to

disrupt the construction schedule or

delay the planned April 2017 launch.

“To tell you the truth, everything

happened very quickly,” Gatto says.

Two weeks after flying to Oss in the

Netherlands to see the work in

progress, Gatto presented his project.

It included several additions to the

original interior, by Sinot Exclusive

Yacht Design, including a glass-sided

atrium and an upper deck salon with

teak flooring and furniture matching

that of the beach club. “The idea is to

be able to lie down on the sofas in the

upper salon and watch TV with a wet

swimming costume on,” he says.
