Visionary architect Fernando Romero has partnered with Benetti on a groundbreaking
ready-to-build 253ft concept with a new aesthetic and bold innovation. Efficiency,
harmony with nature and a layout that revolves around guests are among the underlying
principles. Romero, who is currently working with Norman Foster on Mexico City’s
new airport, has more than a passing familiarity with yachting, even if this is his first
yacht design. To respect the purity of the lines, he decided there should be no visible
radars or sat domes; they are integrated into the glass topping the central entertainment
area. A huge spa and pool area on the lower deck opens on three sides, and the forward
pool doubles as a helideck. Diesel electric goes along with the slippery shape, giving
the yacht a range of 5,000nm at 12 knots. It looks conceptual but Se77antasette isn’t a
fanciful dream; it’s a buildable reality that took three years for the designer and Benetti ’s
engineers to fully flesh out. benettiyachts.it
