INTO THE CAVE

By Jason Isley, Scubazoo

ALTHOUGH TURTLE TOMB may not be one
of the deepest or most complicated cave
dives, it is extremely important to take the
standard cave diving procedures course
before exploring it.
This small cave, in Sipadan, Malaysia,
has actually taken the lives of a few divers
over the last two decades, and so the most
basic cave diving certification is required. The
entrance to the cavern is at 23 metres but the
tunnel leading to the tomb is narrow and rises
up into the final cave.
It is an eerie and humbling experience.
