One important considerati on of the
integrati on that Thöne & Partner as well
as E&E had to bear in mind was that the
att racti on did not have technical support
staff. In this parti cular aspect it was
understandable as the main att racti ons
are the wax fi gurines with the AV deployed
playing a supporti ng role. Thus, it was
important to ensure that the systems would
work seamlessly with minimal interference
from the att racti on staff.
“We ensured that the enti re system is
automated. All the AV equipment shuts
down and starts up in sequence to ensure
that there is no overload that would aff ect
the working of the equipment. They have
been programmed with ti ming so that the
att racti on staff do not even need to worry
about it,” said Freddie.
In additi on there are wireless access points
all around the venue, which are linked to
the Alcon Mcbride show controller network.
“What basically this enables us to do is
access the control network from anywhere
within the venue and make any necessary
adjustments to the AV equipment if needed.
This saves a lot of ti me as we can adjust
setti ngs accordingly and see and hear if it
is working right without needing to keep
going to the control room. Of course it is all
username and password protected to avoid
any mishaps.”
Measure of Success
“The measurement of success for any AV
installati on in att racti ons like the MT is a
seamless experience for the guest. Being
involved in over 50 projects worldwide over
the past 10 years, Thöne & Partner developed
a concept with highest fl exibility and very low
maintenance issues for the operati onal team.
E&E did successfully transfer our concept and
design to the specifi c situati on on site. With
their highly educated and moti vated team
it was easy and a delight to work with and
create a spectacular guest experience,” said
