Canbin agrees to investigate.
It turns out that Siyue
has been helping Deyi on
the sly. She and Canbin each
have their own motives for
consenting to the marriage,
and they have agreed to
divorce when their agenda is
fulfilled.
Siyue apologises to
Canbin for standing by Deyi.
She cannot bring herself to
betray her biological mother.
Tearfully, she decides to
leave him.
Huixiang is released on
bail. Minhao picks her up.
Minhao hopes Siyue will
help him win the Qian Mi
Palace project back. She
agrees, as the project was
her grandfather’s dying wish.
Minhao reveals he will
divorce Zhihui. This is the
only way to release her from
her pain.
Shixun apologises to
Huixiang, saying he has
done her wrong. He will try
to defend her during the
hearing. She doubts his
sincerity.
Siyue records the words
of Shilu, who confesses it
was Huixiang who amended
the architectural drawings, a
move that led to Hongtao’s
fall.
Wanhou discovers where
the pine is being stored.
Since he can’t transport it,
he sets it on fire.
During the hearing,
Huixiang maintains she
is innocent, and blames
Hongtao.
The court room entrance
is blocked by Shilu, and
Hongtao is unable to enter
to give testimony. They are in
the midst of a scuffle when
Qihuang arrives, scaring the
wits out of Shilu.
Shilu kneels and begs for
mercy, but is dragged away.
Hongtao takes the
witness stand. As the
case’s prosecutor, Shixun
recommends a 15-year
sentence for Huixiang. She
insists she is being framed
and pretends to faint. The
judge announces that the
hearing is adjourned.
Shixun tells Canbin
that the suspicious car
found at the scene of
the burnt pine belongs to
Wanhou’s secretary. If it is
proven that Wanhou is the
mastermind, he will lose
the chance to rebuild Qian

After saving Danping,
Jianing is beaten to death.
Danqing feels bad when
