his little bird struts around
like a rockstar. She preens
and dances and poses
perfectly for the camera. And
though she is super successful,
she doesn’t fluff her feathers,
because she doesn’t have any!
Say hello to Rhea the naked birdie.
And she probably doesn’t care as
much about it because she has an
amazing human family who think
the world of her. Adopted from a
local pet store in Boston, USA, by
Isabella Eisenmann, in mid 2016,
the lovebird is the happiest bird you
can find!
Much loved across the globe,
Isabella tells us that Rhea gets a gift
every single day from her fans! You
can’t help but fall in love with Rhea
when you see videos of her hopping
around her home and staring
sweetly into the camera. Isabella
dresses her up, sends us sneak
peaks into her dancing, catches her
Not short on feathers!
She doesn’t have
feathers. But that
doesn’t stop Rhea from
being the happiest
birdie you can find

preening, snaps her napping and
creates a picture that you instantly
coo over.
Rhea was lucky she was adopted.
“She had already lost her feathers
to Psittacine Beak and Feather
Disease when I got her. This
disease causes her feathers to
fall off and eventually affects the
beak and organs. It also affects
her lifespan. Rhea is lucky that she
is not in pain,” shares 23-year-old
Isabella. Highly contagious to other
parrots, there is no cure/treatment
available. Adopting Rhea was an
easy decision for Isabella.
