Why do dogs chase tails?
Curiosity, exercise, anxiety and
even fleas - the reasons dogs
chase their own tails are many. If
your pooch is going at it too often
and for too long, speak to your
veterinarian.

Do dogs dream?
When your dog twitches and
moves his paws in his sleep it
indicates that he is dreaming!
Research suggests that he may be
dreaming about you!

Why do dogs go round and round
before they poop?
Studies indicate that dogs
prefer to face either north or south
before doing their business and
while going round and round they
align themselves with the Earth’s
magnetic field.

Why are dog noses wet?
Their noses secrete a layer of
mucous which helps them to absorb
scent. They sample the scent when
they lick their noses.

Do dogs sweat?
Unlike humans who sweat
everywhere, dogs sweat through the
pads of their feet. They pant to cool off.

Why do dogs kick mud?
They use the scent glands on their
paws to further mark their territory.

Why do dogs curl up to sleep?
This is an age old instinct. Curling
into a ball keeps them warm and
also protects their tummy and vital
organs from predators.
