ew technologies will create a connected world

enabling multiple innovative applications that

will change the way we live, communicate,

conduct business and travel. The transition of the

automotives from fossil fuel-driven to electric, hybrid and

self-driven is ushering in the era of new mobility which will

be immensely connected.

Connected mobility applies to journeys where parameters

are optimised through the capture and analysis of the data

generated. Connected mobility is being connected to the

internet on the move and with the resources to have this

connection. Automotive industry will be one of the key

participants in the connected space as several other things

will be connected to and from vehicles representing every

segment including passenger cars, commercial vehicles

and off-the-road vehicles.

Some of the visible features in the connected vehicles will be

telematics and driver assist systems. While hardware is the fast

growing segment within the connected space, the role of S

software will be ever increasing with suppliers and OEMs

grappling to package more to strengthen their USPs and

sales. The connectivity service providers through the use
