maintenance, remote vehicle control features, and connectivity

of the vehicle to other smart devices.

Many companies now develop vehicle connectivity

applications to ensure connected driving and to support

autonomous driving systems. It is estimated that by 2020

about seven billion people will be connected, which is the

size of the current world population. By 2020 there will be

over 24 billion connected objects. This is in addition to the

12 billion mobile connected devices such as phones, tablets
