THE FRESH PRINCE
OF BEL-AIR^

A

dmittedly, Will and Jada didn’t
spend much time on set together.
She auditioned for the role of Will’s
character’s girlfriend on Fresh Prince in
1994, but producers decided that at just
five feet tall, she was too short for him.
Evidently, the height difference wasn’t
an issue for the real-life pair, who began
dating a year later, and married in 1997.
Anyone waiting for the Smiths’
honeymoon phase to be over has been
disappointed – 21 years and two kids
later, Will and Jada are as into each
other as ever, with plenty of red-carpet
PDAs to prove it. In fact, they’re so
loved-up, some in Hollywood have
speculated that they keep the magic
alive by swinging with other couples.
‘I wish!’ Jada joked on Watch What
Happens Live. ‘Will and I just have
amazing chemistry on a lot of different
levels. We love to laugh together, we
love to learn together, we just love
each other. We just have a good time
together. I guess that’s the secret: we
really like each other.’

TWILIGHT

N

ot many people can say that
a future president of the United
States has weighed in on their
relationship. Maybe Donald Trump is
a closet Twilight fan. Maybe he secretly
wore a ‘Team Edward’ T-shirt under all
of his suits. Either way, when Kristen
cheated on Robert with director Rupert
Sanders on the set of Snow White and
the Huntsman, The Donald had plenty
to say about it – on Twitter, naturally.
‘Robert Pattinson should not take back
Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like
a dog & will do it again – just watch. He
can do much better!’ was the first in a
series of social media slams on Kristen.
Proving how little Donald’s opinion
matters to sane women everywhere,
Kristen has gone from strength to
strength in her career.
Since the Robert-Rupert drama, she’s
dated a number of women, but was
reticent about labelling her sexuality in
the press. Then, in what was one of the
coolest Saturday Night Live hosting gigs
of 2017, Kristen not only came out, but
also clapped back at Donald at the same
time: ‘The president tweeted about me
11 times! To be fair, I don’t think Donald
Trump hated me – I think he was in
love with my boyfriend! Anyway, the
president is not a huge fan of me, but
that is so okay. And Donald, if you didn’t
like me then, you’re really not going to
like me now, because I’m hosting SNL
and I’m, like, so gay dude.’

BUGSY^

A

nyone looking for a comprehensive
list of ‘it’ girls from the ’60s, ’70s
and ’80s could simply take a look at
Warren Beatty’s dating history. One
of Hollywood’s most infamous playboys,
Warren’s conquests included everyone
from Joan Collins, Brigitte Bardot and
Jane Fonda, to Diane von Furstenberg,
Diana Ross, Cher, Iman, Madonna and
Carly Simon (who recently admitted
that the second verse of ‘You’re So Vain’
is about him).
And then, there was Annette... The
two met in 1990 (she was 32, he was 53)
while filming gangster flick Bugsy, and
set the world reeling when they married
two years later. Could the legendary
Lothario really be settling down?
‘It didn’t really surprise me,’ Warren
told the Today show in 2016. ‘I always
felt I wasn’t trying to avoid marriage,
I was trying to avoid divorce. I had
no doubts when I met Annette.’ He
went on to say that she and their four
children are the best thing that’s ever
happened to him.
While Warren later took a 15-year
hiatus from the industry to spend time
with their children, Annette went on to
be nominated for four Academy Awards.
The pair were back on screen together
in 2016’s homage to Old Hollywood,
Rules Don’t Apply.
