arlier this month the
Liverpool FC squad took
time-out to spread some
festive cheer and bring a little
ho-ho-ho to Alder Hey on their
annual Christmas trip to the
hospital.
Ahead of a training session the
players and staff made the short
trip from Melwood to the nearby
hospital. Manager Jürgen Klopp
and captain Jordan Henderson
led the rest of the first-team
around the wards, with players
splitting into groups to meet
as many of the youngsters
as possible. They spent time
chatting to patients and their
families and posing for photos,
and they also handed out LFC
gifts during their afternoon at the
hospital, which treats 270,000
children each year.
