TECHNOLOGY
Given the global scale of Lee Kum Kee, how is your team us-
ing technology to handle HR matters across offices in differ-
ent regions and countries? How is technology defining (and
changing) the HR function? On a global scale, it is imperative for
/ee Kum Kee to implement HR policies and practices through infor-
mation and communication technology (ICT) to enhance effi ciency
and decision making capabilities. Our global human resources
information system (HRIS) is a unifi ed platform providing reports,
dashboards and analytics that allow the management to carry out
human capital analysis.
While there are a variety of communication channels among re-
gions and at different staff levels, by means of communication tech-
nology, the overarching principle is for us to support and connect
with employees who work across different departments and even
borders to perform people management and development functions.
These include recruitment, HR analytics, performance management,
HR communication, e-learning, employee relations, etc.
In particular, we harness digital technologies for our
recruitment of management trainees in China through arranging
an insightful and interactive online talk and video presentations.
Without doubt, ICT enables HR transactional effi ciency and HR
analytics that strengthen /ee Kum Kee’s ability to focus on the
most impactful and highest value of strategic activities.
