What are your top three places for eating and
drinking in Stockholm?
Indio
Restaurang China
Brillo
What is an absolute must-do for visitors
to the city?
Everybody should try to visit the
Stockholm archipelago.
Where do you go for art and design shopping?
I don’t do much shopping outside Fotografiska.
What is a secret spot, off the beaten tourist trail?
The archipelago is full of hidden places to dream
of. Möja is fantastic. It takes four hours to travel
there by boat from the city and it is so worth it,
because on that trip you also get to see the most
beautiful islands of the archipelago.
What do you love most about Stockholm?
The beauty of it. Very few places are as beautiful,
and in my opinion no other big city.
CULTURAL CAPERS
Fotografiska
Housed in a former customs house, this centre of
contemporary photography exhibits an evolving
line-up of globally renowned photographers and
Swedish up-and-comers, across all photographic
genres and styles.
Spritmuseum
Take a journey into the history and culture of alcohol
at this museum dedicated to drinks. Of course,
it also has a bar – plus a well-regarded restaurant.
ABBA
For a bit of fun, music fans can literally get on stage
and sing along with ABBA (in hologram form) at this
interactive place of pop music worship.
Artipelag
This peaceful art venue is located in a beautiful building
on an idyllic island in Värmdö, in the Stockholm
archipelago. Take the ferry (20 minutes) to make the
most of the experience.
Quality restaurants, cafés and waterfront eateries are
certainly not lacking in Stockholm. Here are a few
favourites to try.
Dine with a panoramic view at the award-winning
FOTOGRAFISKA.
For the best steak in Stockholm, you can’t go past
industrial-chic RESTAURANG AG.
If it’s traditional Swedish food you’re after, try
PELIKAN, or the homemade meatballs at MEATBALLS
FOR THE PEOPLE, both in cool Södermalm.
For new and noteworthy fare, visit sky-high eatery TA K.
Enjoy an organic lunch in a greenhouse, flower garden
or fruit orchard at the wonderful ROSENDALS.
Try Swedish fika at cosy VETE-KATTEN.
