Hold the head

Yo u may need hold the bolt headto

stop it from spinning in the hinge.In

theworst cases, seized nuts may needto

becut offwith a grinder.

Check

Beforefi tting the hinge guards,

check the instructionssoyou know

which guardgoeswhere,as thetop and

bottom guards are different.

Correct way

Fit the guards with thecut out onto

thetop hinge bolts, with thecurved

sideawayfrom the door frame, thenrefi t

the hinge nuts.

Window handle tip

Before refi tting the window winder

handle, check theretaining spring

clip is fullyreleased (in this position)

before refi tting ontotheregulator spindle.

Positionalcheck

With both hinge guards now in

position, check the guards are both

correctly positioned when the door closes.

Thenrefi t the doorcard.

Double check

With the doorcardnowback in

position check again that the door

still closescorrectly and the hinge guards

don’tcatch the doorseal. Job done.

Warning

There arewarning ‘finger trap’

stickersto gooneachofthe hinge

guards.Theseare best stuck in position

beforethe guards arefi tted.

Adjustment

Set the guard plateasstated in the

instructionssothat, when the door is

closed, there is thecorrectgap between

plateand bulkhead, then tighten the nuts.

Lower hinge

Fit the guard without thecut-outto

the lower hinge.Curved sidefaces

awayfrom door frame allowing thecorrect

gap.Thenrefi t and tighten the nuts.
