Alclad Aqua gloss and let this cure for a

The next step was decalling. I decided to
move from my normal bench area into the
house to do this. Instead of using my normal
setting solution of Microsol I used Klear, and
found it to be superb. I’m glad I did as the
adhesion was superb. This was when disaster
struck, and thankfully I have no photos of the
mess that was left. After having completing
the decalling process and lifting the kit to
admire it, I dropped it fi rmly onto the fl oor,
breaking the top off the vertical stabiliser,
snapping the resin nose off, damaging
the windscreen joint and also
knocking the wings loose. I
was absolutely
distraught.
I put it
aside fora few weeks, before coming back to sort
out the mess. Having used the Klear as a
decal setting solution proved invaluable as
the decals styed fi rmly in place whilst I fi xed
the damaged areas, none more so than the
damaged vertical stabiliser as there was a
prominent “Kfi r “decal in place on it.
After a week or so of work I had pretty much
sorted all the damage and it was not
visible, but I was by this stage badly
behind schedule.Alclad Aqua gloss and let this cure for a
