THE 'DANGLER'
Okay, so we can all agree that the Ab Panel from TYR (reviewed on the
left hand page) looks the absolute business when attached to the bottom
of your plate carrier, but from a storage/utility point of view, it can
sometimes be a bit impractical, unless you want to carry exposed chem
lights or det-charges? And that's the only gripe we have with the Ab Panel,
it doesn’t really have that storage/pouch factor, and sometimes you’re
going to need something with a bit more stash value, because let's face it,
if you have a pouch you want to fill it!
Step forth The Dangler; a painfully simple drop pouch designed to perform
as a tactical fanny pack to hang (or dangle) from your plate carrier. In
essence Ferro have created a lightweight, durable and flexible tool/admin
organiser to ensure you always have what you need, within easy reach for
the job at hand. The inside of the Dangler offers a mix of 1.5 elastic and a
loop lining to keep your tools, pens and admin secure, with enough general
purpose space for anything else you may need.
The front of the pouch also provides a 4x4 hook and loop panel for call
sign/moral patches or if you still insist on having those tactical items
exposed; attaching a chem light holder. The Dangler can be mounted either
under the front flap and cummerbund or inserted into your plate pocket
on most carriers. It’s compatible with virtually any armour carrier that
has hook and loop fastening on the front. We would advise checking your
carrier prior to ordering for the correct fastening layout, but in all honesty
we've not found a plate carrier that doesn’t happily accept the Dangler.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and this is certainly the case here.
It’s clear from operators like the SEALs and units like DELTA who needed
a way to extend their chest rigs to provide that bit of extra storage space
without sacrificing vital, operational equipment. By hanging modified
general purpose pouches by a bit of para cord, this was achieved and is
still a proven and effective way to expand load bearing capabilities.

DROP DOWN UTILIT Y POUCH
Avid readers will know that Warrior Assault Systems are essentially a real world
manufacture that have embraced the Airsoft community and that they manufactur
solid real-world proven products at a price point that can't be ignored.
The Drop Down Utility Pouch hangs under the front flap of most armour carriers
and attaches quickly and securely via hook and loop. Ideal for use with Warriors
DCS, RPC and PCR Chest rigs, but will fit most plate carriers and chest rigs out there.
There are 2x zip pockets; the larger and main compartment is designed for storage
and quick access of larger accessories and tools, Med Kit and Admin/Maps etc, whilst
the smaller pocket is good for storage of smaller items such as torches, batteries, a
compass etc. Out of all the Drop down pouches we have featured here WAS win the versatility
race, due to the amount of pockets incorporated into the pouch. Internally, the Drop Down
Utility Pouch is a well organised and well made multi compartment accessory pouch that is
ready to be put to work.
On the underside there are 2x elastic loops for chem lights and/or markers. The Drop Down
Pouch can also be used as an armour system for lower abdomen protection. They have
included a rear pocket which allows the user to slip in a level 3a soft armour insert. This isn't
a huge requirement for skirmishing but it's nice to have that optional extra to add a bit of
protection. The front of the pouch also boasts 2x rows of MOLLE; This allows the attachment
