ith Brengun announcing
a 1/144 scale V-1,
Special Hobby did not
want to be left out! They have
announced a 1/32 scale injection
moulded plastic kit of the Fieseler
Fi-103/V-1. As far as I know
this will be the first injection
moulded kit of the V-1 in thisscale, as most kits are scaled to
the military models 1/35 scale
(both Profimodeller and HpH do
offer resin and etched-brass 1/32
scale kits). Like the Brengun kit
this one from Special Hobby will
feature a handling trolley. Special
Hobby also have in development
for a January 2019 release, the
piloted Fi-103R/V-1 Reichenberg.In 1/48 scale news work is
progressing on the Siebel Si 204/C-
3, with a test mould of the starboard
wing parts on display at the US
Nationals. The milling machines at
Special Hobby are currently cutting
the moulds for the detail parts with
the CAD renders of which look very
nice. Having seen the example
preserved at the Czech Air Force
Museum at Kbely (Just outside
Prague and well worth a visit), this
kit is one I am looking forward to.
In 1/72 scale Special Hobby
are continuing with their line of
P40s, the next release will be the
P-40K. This kit shares the wing
and some of the small parts with
their previously released KittyhawkMk.IA, but otherwise is brand new
tooling. In other 1/72 scale news
Special Hobby have announced a
Bf-109G-6 in Finnish markings.Let’s get dusting
KOVOZÁVODY PROSTEJOV (KP)
T
his month
Kovozávody
Prostĕjov (KP) have
released three versions of
the Zlin Z-37 Bumblebee
crop duster. KP have also
announced future plans for
the first injection moulded
kit of another agricultural
aircraft , the Piper Pawnee
crop duster. It is unlikely
that the likes of Tamiya
etc. will ever release kits
of these subjects so KP are
to be applauded for giving
us models of these unsung
workhorse aircraft.
Also released by KP in
1/48 scale are a Zlin Z-381
and Zlin C-106, these are
Czech built versions of the
Bücker 181, the 381 is the
civilian version and the
C-106 the military trainer.Big
Arado
FLY MODELS
I
n addition to the
forthcoming 1/72
scale PZL-37A/B/bis kits,
Fly Models have announced
further versions of their 1/32
scale Arado Ar234, namely the
B-2/S3 and B-2/B-2N. All of these
new kits will feature extensive
resin details with injection
